RoofSmith of Tampa Bay replaced the roof over the historic Plant Hall – Salon Building at the University of Tampa with a new Stainless Steel IMETCO Series 300 standing seam panel system. This project included removing the old roof system, replacing all the rotten/damaged, wood, resealing the minarets, and installing the new roof. The low sloped roofing consisted of custom formed flat sheets of stainless on a clips system and hand soldering all joints. To make it more challenging, the project took place during the summer between the Spring and Fall semesters while the campus activity was at its lowest point during the year, but remained occupied and fully operational for summer students.
